CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING Central air uses the blower in your existing heating system and existing ductwork to distribute cold air evenly throughout the home. There are two section of ductwork: the supply air which the freshly heated or cooled air is distributed and the return air which brings the air back to the furnace so it can be cooled or heated again before being re-distributed through the space. Central air is made up of two pieces: one is the evaporator which sits inside the furnace and the other is the condenser which you can see outside. The two pieces are connected by pipes referred to as the line set: this contains refrigerant piping and electrical wiring between the two pieces.
